1)  为什么去美国留学？

Why you want to study in the united states?

 

相对于欧洲、澳洲和加拿大等地区，由于可以得到学校的资助，在美国留学的费用是最低的；美国的教育环境和研究水准对知识界的吸引力最大；取得美国学位后可以有多种选择。

在国内读过至少两年以上的大专（大专、职大或业大等）或大学课程，即可考虑作为转学生进入美国大学；或在取得本科学位后，再行申请读美国大学的研究生学位；具有数年甚至更长工作经验的学生往往会得到比较好的机会 。

if you just have two college educational year experience such as junior college etc, you could transfer to the schools in the states to pursue bachelor degree, if you have your bachelor degree in china, you could apply for the master degree of the schools in the states, if you have years or longer working experience you would get more better chance.

 

3)   在美国留学的费用是多少？

How about the expenses studying in the states?

 

不同的学校和专业其学费相差很大，从每年八九千元美元至每年三万美元以上均有出现。而正常的生活费用一般在每年五千至一万元以内。

There would be very huge difference between different schools and different major and different cities. From USD8000/per year to USD30,000/per year, so different. The average living expenses would be from USD5000 to USD10,000.

一般的统计，美国有近三千所大学。在这些大学中除了一定数量的公立大学外，占大多数的私立大学都有各自不尽相同的宗旨和独特的风格，因此学生可以有非常多的选择和机会； 在美国地理上习惯的各大分区，都有由民间机构组成的大学认可组织，大部分学校都会参加主要的认可组织并接受其严格的认可程序和资格审查。

In generally speaking, there are about 3000 schools(universities or colleges) in the states, some of them are public schools and some of them are private schools, each school with their different purpose and specialization, so the students have lots of chance of choice, in the different district area, there are different organization to issue their own accoredite schools, most of the schools would join some main area organizations and accepted their qualification audit etc.

 

学生在兴趣之上会依据自己的喜好和对学校各方面的感觉来选择想要进入的学校，当然最后还有一个最重要的硬约束，那就是他们必须考虑：能不能负担得起他们所喜欢的那所学校的学费；一般而言，大城市、大校园或是有名气的学校的各种费用都要高得多，而小城市、小校园或是名气一般的学校则费用较低；

the students could choose any school which could accepted them by their favorite or feeling for each school, but there is one serious regulation could be limited their own choice not like in china　(the tuition almost the same no matter you were in which public school in china):the students have to consider if they could afford the expenses and tuition of the school they favorite, in generally speaking, the big school campus, the school in big city, the famous schools all would be with more higher expense, but the average schools, the school in small city, with small campus  all with more lower expenses.  

 

5)   应准备多少费用可以顺利取得学位？

How much money you need to prepare for your pursuing the degree?

 

在起程去学校时应准备的费用为：所进入的学校的学费、加上在当地的正常估算的生活费，再减去从学校获得的资助。这些费用均会在录取文件中的I-20表上列明。请注意取得学位的年限，因为以上的费用是按年列出的。

When you go to the school, you need to prepare the fee of: the tuition of the school plus the average local living expenses minus the financial aid you get from the school, these expenses would be listed on the I-20 form and admission letter. Please pay attention to the duration of pursuing degree, because all the fee listed by each year on the I-20

 

6)   可获得的学校资助的种类？

减免学费、奖学金和助学金等。

Tuition waiver, scholarship, assistantship etc.

 

 7)   申请学校时应注意哪些事项？

What are the main notice items when you apply for the schools in the states?

 

美国的大学并不绝对看重TOEFL成绩和GRE或GMAT成绩，学生的独特个性更会引起相关人士的注意。另外学生在实际工作中所表现出的特质和成绩亦受青睐。因此在学生的申请材料中考试成绩以外的资料更为重要，比如表现学生个性的个人陈述等。

The schools of the states not only pay attention to the high scores of TOEFL, GRE or GMAT, the special personality would be more attractive to whom might may concern. The special ability and progress from your working experience would be paid more attention. Besides your transcripts and test scores in your application package, some other file would be more important, such as personal statement, reference etc.

被签证官认为不能留学；更好的证明；签证次数的困惑。

试图去说服签证官；试图干扰签证官做决定；不合理的解释。

美国学校是提供多样化教育服务的，学生可以有多种选择进行自己的学习与生活。因此无论从选课、选老师还是选择住处，都要由自己安排和做决定。在学习时，老师只是解答问题和指导学习方向，而不是替学生“念书”，学生大量的刻苦学习时间正是花在“自习”自己看书和完成作业上的。学生的独特的见解和个性的表现才会获得很好的成绩。

American schools supply multiple educational service, the students could have more choice to study and live, so no matter choose the courses, choose teachers and choose the place you would live, you all could have your own idea and arrangement. When you were in the classed, the teachers never help you “read the book”, most of the time just answering your questions and instruct you, the students need to do more hard work and spend more time to “self study”, you could get the very good score only after you have your own idea and personality not just copy.

美国的法律细致完备甚至繁复，而诚实为其第一要素；不要试图以国内的习惯钻空子，因为所有的事情都会有矩可查；不要说谎，在日常学习和生活中亦是如此，否则后果深远。
